Resources to Help You Become A Better You

My experience has been that if I do not connect with nature, I feel out of sorts. Nature has a way of telling us what is happening in the outside world.

In today's fast paced world, we tend to forget to really take the time to look and see what is happening around us. We take nature for granted. Thinking that it will always be there. We must take the time to appreciate the beauty that nature offers us. The flowers, the different species of birds, the way the sun glows in the big beautiful sky. It is important that we take even if it is just 5 minutes out of our daily schedule to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Meditation is also something we can all benefit from. If you are new to meditation, I recommend you start with a guided meditation for a duration of 5 to 10 minutes. It

will help you with your breathing in order to completely relax. With practice, meditation will become second nature to you. It is amazing on how it can set your day on a very positive note and guide you throughout your day.

Mindful Meditation is a method of training the mind to observe one's thoughts without focusing on them and/or judging them. The goal is to let them come and go and with time you will be aware of them and of how you feel when they arise. It is a great way to start and end your busy day.

Benefits of Meditation are many:

- less stress

- less anxiety

- can lower your blood pressure

- can lower your heart rate

- improve your well-being overall

- promotes relaxation

- aids with sleep

These are just a few things each and everyone of us can benefit from in order for all to have better health.
